Commercial Sales Manager

WestQuay Energy, a leading expert in the Solar PV industry based in the West of Ireland, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Sales Manager to join our growing team.

About the position

Based in the West of Ireland, WestQuay Energy are leading experts in the Solar PV industry. We are committed to promoting renewable energy, helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint while saving on energy costs. Due to increased growth, we are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join the team as a “Commercial Sales Manager. In this role, you will drive new business, generate leads, and close contracts with commercial clients. You will also oversee project delivery, ensuring health and safety compliance throughout. 

What you will do

  • Identifying new business opportunities and growth areas through research and networking  
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction by maintaining seamless communication throughout the sales process 
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure  
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets – providing regular KPI reports and sales forecasts to the Senior Management Team 
  • Work closely and collaborate with other functions/Teams of the organisation, including Marketing, Technical Sales Support and Proposal Management, Commercial, Engineering and Operations teams 
  • Event & Industry Engagement: Stay updated on industry incentives and regulations to offer valuable insights to clients 
  • Manage the execution of commercial solar PV projects  
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors  
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard  
  • Ensure all projects meet health and safety regulations

What you will need to succeed

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in renewable energy, solar PV, or a related industry 
  • You must be determined, self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting/ exceeding targets  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work independently and drive results 
  • Strong understanding of lead qualification, client engagement, and outbound business development strategies
